Valentines Day Deserts



Maple Pecan Crinkles


3/4 c butter or margarine
1/2 c brown sugar, packed
1/4 c maple syrup
1 ea egg
1 t vanilla extract
1 3/4 c all purpose flour
2 t baking soda
1/2 t nutmeg
1/2 c chopped pecans
1/4 c white sugar
Preheat oven to 350F.

In a large bowl, cream the butter or margarine and brown sugar.
Add the maple syrup, egg, and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy.

Beat in the flour, baking soda, and nutmeg. Stir in the nuts.
Roll teaspoons of the dough into balls; roll the balls in the white sugar.

Place 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove the cookies to wire racks; cool.
